Gretchen Daily at Trinity - Distinguished Scientist Lecture Series
Gretchen Daily will speak at Trinity University in the Distinguished Scientist Lecture Series, co-presented by Trinity University Press. Daily is a Bing Professor of Environmental Science in the Department of Biology at Stanford University; Senior Fellow in the Woods Institute for the Environment; and Director of the Center for Conservation Biology. She is also Co-Director of The Natural Capital Project, a partnership among Stanford University, The Nature Conservancy, World Wildlife Fund, and the University of Minnesota, whose goal is to align economic forces with conservation. She has published over 200 scientific and popular articles and is the author of The New Economy of Nature: The Quest to Make Conservation Profitable, with journalist Katherine Ellison, as well as two books published by Trinity University Press, The Power of Trees and One Tree / Un árbol único, both with photographs by Charles J. Katz, Jr.
