Kim Stafford and Osage Orange Tree at Elliot Bay
2014 marks the centennial of the birth of one of this country's most eminent, enduring poets, William Stafford. He read at Elliott Bay numerous times before his passing – already over twenty years ago (1993). His poet and teacher son Kim Stafford, author of 100 Tricks Every Boy Can Do will today read from some of William Stafford’s work, including The Osage Orange Tree. “In our time there has been no poet who revived human hearts and spirits more convincingly than William Stafford.
