Tom Payton at the Texas Women's Forum: Publishing in the Public Interest
Tom Payton, Director of Trinity University Press, will be speaking at the Texas Women's Forum about "Publishing in the Public Interest: Connection Books and Readers as a Community Mission." With almost 30 years of experience in the book/publishing industry, Tom has been involved with the publication of 500 books. He serves on the board of directors for the Publishers Association of the West. He has spoken at a wide array of industry meetings, conferences, festivals, writers groups, and continuing education classes. His editorial acquisitions focus primarily on the natural and built human physical environment, literature/history of place, foodways, and regional interests as well as digital project development and co-publishing partnerships.
