Nan Cuba is the author of Body and Bread, winner of the PEN Southwest Award in Fiction and the Texas Institute of Letters Steven Turner Award for Best Work of First Fiction; it was also listed as one of “Ten Titles to Pick Up Now” in O, Oprah’s Magazine, was a “Summer Books” choice from Huffington Post, and the San Antonio Express-News called it one of the “Best Books of 2013.” Cuba co-edited Art at our Doorstep: San Antonio Writers and Artists, and published other work in such places as Antioch Review, Harvard Review, Columbia, and Chicago Tribune’s Printer’s Row.
Riley Robinson has been the studio director for Artpace San Antonio since 1994. He has curated the exhibitions San Antonio Collects and Made By Hand: Straight to Video at the Blue Star Contemporary Arts Center, and Morton Hebsgaard at Cactus Bra Space. His artwork has been exhibited in San Antonio at Sala Diaz and the Southwest School of Art and Craft, and at Testsite, Austin; the Matfest Outdoor Invitational Exhibition, Bergen, Norway; the Art Museum of Southeast Texas, Beaumont; Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond; and Kiasma, Helsinki.
