Gilbert Garcia is an award-winning political writer. He has written for the Dallas Observer, Phoenix New Times, San Antonio Current, San Antonio Express News, and Plaza de Armas. A recipient of six Press Club Awards, he has covered the Democratic National Convention as well as the Republican and Democratic Texas state conventions.
