Suzanne Stryk, author of The Middle of Somewhere, will be celebrated for her work alongside other authors during Leaf & Root & Berry’s closing reception.
Leaf & Root & Berry: a Botanical Art Show & Competition is presented by Create Appalachia. This year’s jurors are Judith Hammond (Founder & Director of What’s the Buzz, a non-profit devoted to the protection of pollinators and native plants) Brian Serway (Appalachian illustrator who specializes in celestial creatures, cosmic dreamscapes, and nature’s nocturnal mischief), Suzanne Stryk (Appalachian fine artist and author, fascinated and focused on the natural world).
